As a Residential Refuse Collector, you handle neighborhood waste collection loops, operating manual and semi-automated cart tipping equipment. You maneuver residential trash carts to collection truck lifters, load bulk yard waste and household items, and clear spilled debris to ensure neighborhoods remain clean. You communicate route issues to drivers, guide collection trucks safely when reversing, and maintain vehicle sanitation at the end of the shift. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence along collection routes (no work-from-home options).
Qualifications & Benefits
Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Requires physical endurance to walk up to 10 miles daily, lift up to 50 lbs continuously, work in all weather conditions, and maintain a safety-first attitude.
