Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Scale Operator manages scale-house weigh-in procedures, customer transactions, and inbound/outbound vehicle traffic at landfill and transfer station facilities. Operating scale software, you weigh commercial collection vehicles, log waste tonnage data, process customer payments, and issue disposal tickets. You inspect incoming waste manifests to prevent unauthorized or hazardous material tipping, communicate dock assignments to drivers, and maintain daily cash and account reconciliations. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the scale-house office (no remote work available).
