Position Summary & Responsibilities
As a Transfer Helper, you support daily solid waste receiving, tipping deck sanitation, and vehicle traffic routing inside regional transfer station facilities. You assist public and commercial drivers with tipping operations, guide vehicles safely into unloading bays, clear loose waste off tipping floors, and operate stationary waste compactors. You also perform daily site sweeps, remove non-compliant materials, and enforce facility safety rules for all visiting haulers. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the transfer station (no remote work options allowed).
Qualifications & Benefits
Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Requires physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs continuously in high-activity industrial environments, along with a reliable work ethic.
