Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Safety Specialist conducts field safety audits, driver training programs, and regulatory compliance monitoring across regional haul sites and facility plants. You perform route observations, lead OSHA and DOT compliance training, conduct accident root-cause investigations, and audit facility PPE usage. Working closely with route supervisors, you implement corrective action plans and lead monthly safety meetings to foster a zero-incident work culture. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site facility and field presence (zero remote options).
Qualifications & Benefits
Requires a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Science preferred) with 2+ years of experience in industrial safety, transport compliance, or safety auditing. Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and EPA guidelines is required.
