Position Summary & Responsibilities
As a Heavy Technician at Waste Management, you oversee complex mechanical overhauls, hydraulic repairs, and electrical diagnostics on heavy commercial waste vehicles and heavy landfill earthmoving machinery. Working in a modern fleet shop, you troubleshoot engine control modules, rebuild high-pressure hydraulic cylinders, replace brake systems, and conduct mandatory DOT safety compliance inspections. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site mechanical shop presence (zero remote capability).
