Position Summary & Responsibilities: As an Industrial Waste Technician, you execute non-hazardous and hazardous chemical waste handling, drum lab-packing, sampling, and container staging at manufacturing client sites and treatment depots. You operate forklifts to maneuver chemical drums, conduct preliminary compatibility testing, prepare EPA shipping manifests, and ensure waste storage areas comply with environmental regulations. You also perform spill response duties, maintain emergency containment gear, and strictly adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site technical presence (no remote capability).
Qualifications & Benefits: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science preferred) alongside a valid 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification. Requires 1+ years of experience in industrial waste handling, chemical manufacturing, or environmental remediation.
