Position Summary & Responsibilities: The Landfill Attendant manages scale-house traffic, customer load inspections, and vehicle direction across regional landfill facilities. Operating computerized scale ticketing software, you weigh commercial haul trucks, verify waste manifests to exclude hazardous or non-compliant materials, process cash or commercial credit transactions, and issue receipts. You direct public and commercial haulers safely to active tipping cells or recycling drop bays while ensuring entry roadways and scale decks remain clean and hazard-free. This position is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site presence inside the scale house and yard facility.
Qualifications & Benefits: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Requires basic computer literacy, cash-handling capability, strong customer service communication skills, and comfort working in fast-paced facility environments.
