Position Summary & Responsibilities: As a Hazardous Waste Technician, you manage chemical and industrial waste handling, packaging, sampling, and drum lab-packing operations at client locations and treatment facilities. You collect hazardous waste containers, conduct chemical compatibility testing, prepare shipping manifests, and load transport vehicles in strict compliance with federal environmental regulations. You also respond to chemical spill containment calls, maintain chemical inventory databases, and execute decontamination routines wearing specialized personal protective equipment (PPE). This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site technical presence (no remote options allowed).
Qualifications & Benefits: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science preferred) alongside a valid 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification. Physical ability to lift heavy drums (up to 50 lbs) and comfort wearing respirator systems is required.
