Role and Responsibilities:
As a Waste Collection Specialist, you manage high-efficiency waste and recycling route execution, operating collection machinery and supporting customer service standards.
• Drive and operate specialized waste collection vehicles across assigned residential or commercial routes
• Manage automated cart tipping lifters and hydraulic packing controls safely
• Ensure customer stops are completed on schedule while maintaining clean, litter-free work zones
• Monitor onboard telematics systems, logging weight logs and container maintenance requests
• Perform daily commercial vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of assigned trucks
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear high-visibility protective gear
Required Skills and Experience:
• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record and valid DOT medical card
• 1+ years of commercial vehicle driving or heavy fleet operation experience
• Strong spatial awareness and physical stamina for outdoor work
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional customer service skills
• High commitment to workplace safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in municipal waste, recycling collection, or route delivery
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery and automated loading systems
