Position Summary & Responsibilities: As a Waste Collector at Waste Management, you execute daily residential and commercial refuse collection along assigned neighborhood routes. Riding on collection vehicle steps or accompanying route drivers, you manually maneuver heavy waste carts, position bins onto hydraulic tipping lifters, and operate packer controls safely. You clear spilled debris to keep customer properties clean, assist drivers with backing spotter duties, and report damaged containers to dispatch teams. This role is 100% physical and strictly requires full on-site route presence with zero work-from-home availability.
Qualifications & Benefits: Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED preferred. Requires physical endurance to walk, bend, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively across all outdoor seasonal weather conditions, alongside a strong safety orientation.
